Bevilacqua's practice focuses primarily on technology-related agreements,
such as license agreements (principally software license agreements and
patent license agreements), development agreements, distribution agreements
and joint venture agreements. Mr. Bevilacqua has a considerable trademark
practice, handling trademark clearance, registration, licensing and litigation.
Mr. Bevilacqua has a considerable trademark practice, which includes
the management of several thousand U.S. and foreign trademark and service
mark registrations. He has extensive trademark licensing experience, and
has handled numerous trademark oppositions and cancellations, including
his current representation of Hasbro in trademark oppositions before the
Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Bevilacqua has advised a number of high-tech clients, including Analog
Devices, Spyglass, Bay Networks, Inc., Computervision, Dragon Systems,
Keane, Inc., MECA Software, Intertrans Logistics, Open Software Foundation,
Peritus Software, ProCD, Security Dynamics, Wang Laboratories and Silverstream
Software.
Mr. Bevilaqua is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York and
before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Bevilacqua received a J.D. degree from Boston College Law School,
an M.S. in computer science from the State University of New York at Stony
Brook, and a B.S. with a double major in computer science and mathematics
from the University of Scranton. He joined Hale and Dorr in 1987.
